Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to maintain high standards of infection control.
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as CLEARDENT, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Take digital radiographs (CAD) and assist with other diagnostic imaging to aid in precise treatment planning.
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and verifying insurance information.
- Support orthodontic procedures by assisting with braces adjustments and related treatments.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols and medical terminology standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role within a busy dental practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, including radiography (CAD) and sterilization processes.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as CLEARDENT is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting orthodontic treatments or pediatrics is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care enhances your ability to support clinical staff efficiently.
- Prior exposure to dental assisting certifications or ongoing education in the field is advantageous.
