In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization standards are met.
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including fillings, cleanings, orthodontics, and more complex treatments.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and helping patients feel at ease.
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and greeting patients as a friendly dental receptionist.




- Assist with pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment that reduces anxiety and promotes cooperation.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools when necessary for orthodontic or restorative procedures.

Requirements

- Proven experience or training in dental assisting with knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry to assist effectively across specialties.
- Ability to operate dental CAD systems for designing restorations or orthodontic appliances.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages, including children.
- Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards in a dental setting.
- Previous experience supporting dental reception duties is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed.
