About Neek Coating Ltd.
Neek Coating Ltd. is an early-stage company preparing to establish and expand its production and commercial operations in Calgary, Alberta. As the company progresses through facility development, equipment acquisition, production setup, and commercialization, we are seeking a motivated and versatile Deputy Director to support the management and coordination of the company's day-to-day business and operational activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director and other team members and will play an important role in supporting the company's transition from the development and setup stage into full commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director with the planning, coordination, and execution of the company's business and operational activities.
- Support the establishment and ongoing development of the company's production facility and operational infrastructure.
- Coordinate activities related to equipment procurement, suppliers, contractors, facility preparation, installation, and commissioning.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal operational procedures, workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor project schedules, operational milestones, priorities, and deliverables and follow up with responsible team members.
- Coordinate communication among management, employees, suppliers, service providers, customers, and other external parties.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and coordination of employees as the company expands its operations.
- Assist with purchasing, inventory planning, supply-chain activities, vendor management, and general administrative operations.
- Support budgeting, expense monitoring, documentation,
record keeping, and coordination with bookkeeping and accounting personnel.
- Assist with business development, customer communications, quotations, sales follow-ups, and commercialization activities.
- Support the preparation of business reports, presentations, internal documents, funding-related documentation, and management records.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable company policies, workplace safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Identify operational challenges and work with management to develop practical solutions and process improvements.
- Represent the company professionally when communicating with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other business partners.
- Assume additional administrative, operational, and management responsibilities as required based on the company's growth and evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in business operations, administration, project coordination, manufacturing, engineering, or a related environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other team members.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare professional reports, business correspondence, records, and documentation.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, engineering, or start-up environment.
- Experience working with suppliers, customers, contractors, or external service providers.
- Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, purchasing, inventory, or business development activities is considered an asset.
