Role Description
We are hiring a Digital Asset Data & Intelligence Analyst to support cryptocurrency analytics, blockchain data research, Web3 market intelligence, and data-driven strategic decision-making.
This is a full-time role combining digital asset research with practical data analysis. The successful candidate will work with market data, blockchain activity, protocol metrics, transaction data, exchange information, and financial datasets to identify trends, build analytical frameworks, and translate complex information into actionable insights.
The role is suitable for candidates from cryptocurrency research, data analytics, fintech, investment research, blockchain intelligence, financial markets, business intelligence, or quantitative analysis backgrounds.
The position is focused on research, analytics, data interpretation, and strategic intelligence. It does not require candidates to invest personal funds, trade through personal accounts, independently control customer wallets, promote individual tokens, guarantee returns, or provide personal investment advice.
Responsibilities
Analyze cryptocurrency and blockchain datasets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, DeFi protocols, Layer 1 networks, Layer 2 networks, exchanges, wallets, and tokenized assets
Research digital asset markets using market data, transaction data, on-chain metrics, protocol activity, liquidity information, and ecosystem indicators
Build and maintain analytical dashboards, data models, market trackers, protocol databases, and digital asset intelligence reports
Monitor transaction volumes, wallet activity, stablecoin flows, protocol revenue, total value locked,
exchange balances, token supply, and user adoption
Identify trends, anomalies, correlations, behavioural patterns, and emerging risks across cryptocurrency and blockchain datasets
Prepare research reports, data visualizations, market-intelligence briefs, presentations, and strategic recommendations
Evaluate blockchain protocols and digital asset projects using financial, technical, market, adoption, and data-driven frameworks
Support research into DeFi, tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, decentralized exchanges, blockchain payments, staking, and Web3 infrastructure
Work with structured and unstructured datasets from blockchain explorers, APIs, market-data platforms, financial databases, and internal sources
Perform exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, normalization, feature development, and statistical analysis
Assist with building predictive models, classification frameworks, anomaly-detection systems, and analytical tools where appropriate
Monitor market developments, protocol upgrades, security incidents, token unlocks, governance activity, funding, and institutional adoption
Translate technical blockchain and data findings into clear recommendations for business, financial, and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, solution architects, researchers, consultants, and client-facing teams
Qualifications
Professional experience or strong practical knowledge in data analytics, cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, financial markets, business intelligence, or investment research
Strong understanding of data analysis, research methodology, statistical reasoning, and analytical problem-solving
General understanding of blockchain networks, cryptocurrency transactions, wallets, exchanges, stablecoins, DeFi, and digital assets
Ability to interpret market data, transaction information, protocol metrics, and blockchain activity
Experience preparing analytical reports, dashboards, visualizations, market research, or strategic recommendations
Strong written communication,
research, organization, attention to detail, and critical-thinking skills
Comfortable working with large and rapidly changing datasets
Professional English communication skills
Candidates must be legally authorized to work remotely from Canada
Preferred Background
Experience with a data consultancy, fintech company, cryptocurrency exchange, digital asset fund, blockchain company, financial institution, research organization, or technology business
Familiarity with tools such as Dune, DefiLlama, Token Terminal, Glassnode, CryptoQuant, Nansen, Arkham, Etherscan, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, TradingView, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Python, SQL, or Google BigQuery
Experience using Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, or similar analytical tools
Understanding of SQL, APIs, data pipelines, ETL processes, cloud data platforms, or data warehouses
Knowledge of blockchain transaction structures, wallet analysis, token flows, protocol metrics, smart contracts, or on-chain analytics
Experience with statistical modelling, time-series analysis, anomaly detection, machine learning, forecasting, or predictive analytics
Understanding of financial markets, portfolio data, liquidity, volatility, market structure, or risk analysis
Background in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, information systems, fintech, or a related discipline

Compensation
Salary range: CAD 90,000 - CAD 110,000 per year depending on experience in data analytics, cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, financial markets, machine learning, or business intelligence
