About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Reporting to the Manager, Centre for Complex Diabetes Care, the CCDC Dietitian will perform all duties of a
Registered Dietitian, following the scope of practice defined by the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a clinical area/hospital setting as a Registered Dietitian.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or be eligible to write and successfully pass the CDE exam
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in the care of patients with complex chronic disease
- Sound working knowledge and understanding nutrition strategies for both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- Demonstrated adult education skills
- Demonstrates patient/family counselling skills to support self‑management of chronic disease
- Entry‑level enteral and parenteral nutrition support skills required
- Effective communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Proficient in computer applications and software, and the utilization of telemedicine
- Coordinate clinical evidence based practices
- Experience working in an interprofessional team
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills
- Proven flexibility and ability to adapt positively to change
Assets:
- Experience working with Indigenous population
- Experience working with disenfranchised and food insecure population
Salary Range: $41.680 to 53.280 The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise. All offers of employment to external candidates shall be conditional upon: a satisfactory
