About Us

Ohata Resource Canada Inc. is an electronics recycling and e-scrap company based in Richmond, British Columbia. Our group has nearly 30 years of industry experience in Japan and continues to expand its operations in North America.

We are looking for an organized and creative Marketing, Social Media & Administrative Associate to support our social media activities, inventory records, and daily office operations.

This is a hands-on position within a small and growing international team. The ideal candidate has professional social media experience, enjoys creating photo and video content, maintains accurate records, and is comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities

Google Ads & Digital Marketing

- Assist with creating, managing, and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research and help prepare effective ad copy.
- Monitor campaign budgets, clicks, conversions, and other performance metrics.
- Review campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Help maintain accurate campaign settings, audience targeting, keywords, and conversion actions.
- Prepare regular campaign-performance summaries for management.
- Support updates to digital marketing strategies based on campaign results and business goals.
- Coordinate with management or technical support when website or conversion-tracking updates are required.

Google Analytics & Reporting

- Use Google Analytics 4 to monitor website traffic, user behaviour, acquisition sources, and conversions.
- Review the performance of important website pages, blog articles, and marketing campaigns.
- Identify trends, traffic changes, and potential tracking issues.
- Help confirm that Google Ads and Google Analytics data are being recorded accurately.
- Create clear reports and summaries explaining key results and recommended actions.
- Use website and campaign data to recommend improvements to future content and advertising.
- Maintain organized records of campaign and website performance.

SEO, Blog & Online Content

- Research relevant keywords and content topics related to electronics recycling, e-scrap, and the company’s purchasing services.
- Write, edit, format, and publish SEO-focused blog articles for the company website.
- Apply basic on-page SEO practices, including headings, keyword placement, meta titles, meta descriptions, internal links, and image alt text.
- Research technical topics and ensure published information is explicit, accurate, and supported by reliable sources.
- Review existing website and blog content and recommend updates to improve accuracy, readability, and search visibility.
- Create and publish posts for the company’s Google Business Profile.
- Create and publish professional content on the company’s LinkedIn Page.
- Plan and maintain consistent blog, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile posting schedules.
- Take photos and short videos of warehouse operations, equipment, inventory, purchases, and company activities.




- Create and edit visual content using Canva and video-editing tools.
- Ensure that published prices, company information, service details, and other online content are accurate and up to date.
- Help promote the company’s electronics recycling and e-scrap purchasing services.
- Monitor content performance and use the results to improve future topics and posts.
- Support the future expansion of the company’s presence on additional digital platforms as required.

Inventory & Administrative Support

- Enter purchasing and inventory information into the company’s inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, inventory, and transaction records.
- Check information carefully before submitting records or documents.
- Assist with inventory counts and basic inventory reconciliation.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding incoming and outgoing materials.
- Organize electronic and paper records according to company procedures.
- Support management with general office and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

- At least two years of professional experience in digital marketing, online advertising, content writing, marketing analytics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience using Google Ads.
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 to review website and campaign performance.
- Ability to understand and report on metrics such as website traffic, clicks, conversions, cost per click, and campaign performance.
- Professional writing or content-creation experience, including blog articles, website content, business posts, or marketing copy.
- Knowledge of basic SEO writing and on-page SEO practices.
- Ability to research technical topics and explain them clearly and accurately.
- Strong written English, including grammar, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, or other online business platforms.
- Basic experience with Canva and photo or video-editing tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and check information carefully.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, and data entry.
- Ability to learn and use inventory management and other business software.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize daily tasks.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- A driver’s licence is not required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications





- A current Google Analytics Certification.
- A current Google Ads certification.
- Experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including keyword selection, ad copy, budgets, targeting, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager or conversion tracking.
- Experience using Google Search Console or other SEO tools.
- Experience conducting keyword research and reviewing search-performance data.
- Experience preparing digital marketing reports or dashboards.
- Experience managing a LinkedIn Company Page or Google Business Profile.
- Experience using a content management system to format and publish blog articles.
- Experience writing content related to recycling, electronics, technology, sustainability, or another technical industry.
- Previous experience in office administration, inventory management, data entry, customer service, or operations support.
- Japanese or Chinese language skills are an asset.
- Experience working in a multilingual or international business environment is an asset.

Schedule

- 40 hours per week.
- 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., including a one-hour unpaid break.
- Regular workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and one weekend day.
- The weekend workday will be either Saturday or Sunday, based on operational needs.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Regular overtime is not expected.

Compensation & Benefits

- CAD $20.00 per hour during the three-month probationary period.
- Upon successful completion of the probationary period, compensation may be reviewed and increased up to CAD $25.00 per hour based on performance, experience, and business needs.
