Position Overview:

Digital Output Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Output Specialist with hands-on experience in digital production printing to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital print workflows, color management, print quality, and production processes, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality printed materials while meeting tight production deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor Xerox full-color digital production printers to produce high-quality print materials efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare, review, and process print-ready files for digital production, ensuring proper sizing, resolution, bleeds, colour settings, and finishing requirements.
- Manage digital print jobs from file intake through output, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the production process.
- Perform colour checks and quality control to maintain accurate colour reproduction, registration, image quality, and consistency across print runs.
- Troubleshoot common digital printing issues, including colour inconsistencies, paper handling, image quality, registration, and finishing problems.
- Select appropriate paper stocks, media, and print settings based on job specifications and desired output quality.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and supply replenishment as required.
- Coordinate with the design, prepress, and production teams to ensure files are properly prepared and jobs are completed according to specifications.
- Operate and monitor finishing equipment and processes, including cutting, folding, binding, and other post-print requirements as applicable.
- Maintain accurate production schedules and prioritize multiple jobs to meet customer deadlines.
- Minimize paper, toner,



and material waste while maintaining high production and quality standards.
- Stay current with digital printing technology, Xerox equipment capabilities, colour management practices, and industry best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience in digital production printing, print production, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience operating Xerox digital production printers.
- Strong understanding of digital print workflows, file preparation, color management, and print production requirements.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is an asset.
- Knowledge of CMYK color processes, resolution, bleeds, crop marks, registration, and other print-production fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for print quality and colour accuracy.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues and identify when technical support is required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple jobs and deadlines.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow job specifications and production instructions accurately.
- Previous experience in a print, digital print, signage, or graphic production environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle paper, media, and finished print materials.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
