GEO Nova Scotia is seeking to fill the Digital Skills Lead position.

The role oversees the strategic development, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of GEO’s digital skill building programs and initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a purpose-led organization, and the successful candidate will play an important part in delivering Digital Inclusion programming as part of a dynamic team.

The role focuses on establishing digital skills training and supports that equips community partners with the essential digital resources they need to support their clients in being able to use devices and online resources safely and with confidence. Digital-skill building is an essential pillar of bridging the digital divide and helping to ensure all Nova Scotians have equitable access to the digital world.

Position Responsibilities The Digital Skills Lead will work closely with the Social Impact Manager to:

- Create and oversee delivery of digital skills support programs to partners.
- Lead the end-to-end development, evolution, and supervision of GEO Digital skills program
- Provide program support and information to all partners;
- Develop program partner standards and partner skills assessment tools;
- Maximize participation among partners in GEO Digital skills programs;
- Nurture and strengthen program partnerships to facilitate ongoing communication about digital skill needs in their communities




- Actively promote and incentivize participation in GEO Digital skills programs through outreach, newsletters, or other communications with partners;
- Develop and update program content; and
- Provide facilitation support and guidance to GEO Digital Equity Coordinators (DECs)

Education & Experience
- Excellent communication skills are required; speaking, writing and listening.
- Fluency with standard computer technology is required, experience with Google Workspace an asset
- Extensive experience in program design and delivery is required
- Facilitation experience and the capacity to mentor others in facilitation is required
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is an asset
- Salesforce is an asset
- Post Secondary education in a related field of study or comparable combination of education and experience. Transferable skills considered when a demonstration of transferability is clear.

The GEO Package
- Starting Salary: $64,000




- The opportunity to work from a home office environment.
- 3 weeks of paid vacation
- 16 holidays per year including: 13 statutory and non-statutory holidays as well as 3 days between Dec 25 and Jan 1 when the office is closed .

Details
- GEO Nova Scotia staff must live in Nova Scotia. The Digital Skills Lead will work primarily from home with occasional on site requirements for meetings, conferences, etc.
- Full-time hours, Monday – Friday 9 AM to 5 PM
