Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Workers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support independence, and promote well-being for individuals. Responsibilities
- Providing person-centered care and support to people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Supporting people with disabilities in their community and in their home. Assisting with appointments and recreational activities.
- Preparing meals and offering feeding assistance.
- Monitoring clients’ well-being and reporting changes to supervisors.
- Administering medication as per training and protocols.
- Performing light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
- Accompanying clients to appointments and community events.
- Maintaining documentation and communication logs.
- Following individual care plans and collaborating with team member.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Direct Support Work, Health Care field is desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to perform light cleaning, meal preparation, and home care tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and team members
- Minimum grade twelve
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license

Pay: $17.75-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
