Lead community-centered child and family services at Horelyu Dene Ts’edi Kue in Cold Lake, Alberta. This senior leadership role focuses on strategic improvement and operational excellence. As the Director of Child & Family Services (DFNA), you will provide essential leadership in developing culturally responsive programs that prioritize Dene values and community self-determination.
Your role involves collaborating with the CEO and Board on organizational strategies, leading a team, and ensuring accountability in service delivery. You will help foster a supportive setting for families while managing operational challenges and risks. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across DFNA programs and teams
- Collaborate with CEO on policy development and planning
- Lead workforce planning and team development initiatives
- Develop community-based child services responsive to cultural needs
- Monitor organizational performance and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Minimum seven years of senior leadership in child services
- Degree in Social Work is an asset
- Knowledge of CYFEA and Indigenous child welfare laws
- Strong financial management experience
- Proven skills in teamwork and relationship building
