Director of Commercialization
Job Overview: Responsible for developing and executing the company's product and technology commercialization strategy, driving cutting-edge products from R&D; and pilot phases to large-scale market adoption. This role requires coordinating multiple teams including product, sales, marketing, R&D;, operations, and strategic partnerships to identify market opportunities, establish business models, and achieve revenue growth through customer expansion, strategic partnerships, and channel development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop overall product and technology commercialization strategy and go-to-market strategy.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities.
Drive new product development from concept, R&D;, pilot phases to commercialization.
Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare institutions, insurance companies, financial institutions, corporate clients, and strategic partners.
Identify and evaluate new sales channels, strategic alliances, joint development, and business cooperation opportunities.
Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop customer acquisition, pricing, and revenue growth strategies.
Participate in business model design, including subscription, licensing, collaborative development, and channel distribution models.
Collaborate with R&D;, product, and technology teams to translate customer needs into commercially viable product solutions.
Responsible for business development and negotiation for key clients and strategic partnerships.
Establish a commercialization metrics system to track revenue, customer growth, market penetration, conversion rates, and project progress.
Identify risks during the commercialization process and develop corresponding solutions.
Continuously optimize product positioning, business models, and marketing strategies based on market feedback.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in business, marketing, finance, healthcare management, engineering, or a related field.
Typically, 15+ years of experience in business development, strategy, product, marketing, or a related field is required.
Experience in the healthcare, HealthTech, MedTech, FinTech, SaaS, or other technology industries is preferred.
Complete commercialization experience from product/technology → market → customer → revenue.
Experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise customer development, channel building, or business negotiation.
Strong market analysis, business model design, and strategic planning capabilities.
Able to coordinate product, R&D;, sales, marketing, and senior management teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Able to drive project implementation in rapidly changing and highly uncertain environments.
