About the Company
ChainPatrol is a venture-backed brand protection platform. Our technology detects and removes the scammers, fake accounts, and phishing sites impersonating the world's biggest brands, at scale and around the clock.
AI has made brand impersonation faster, cheaper, and more convincing than ever. Deepfakes, cloned sites, and fake support accounts now spin up in minutes. We're the ones stopping them.
We're a fast-paced startup, and we're growing quickly. Revenue is climbing every quarter, and we're expanding into new industries like fintech, iGaming, and consumer brands. Our founders and leadership team have built and sold multiple companies before, and they're doing it again here.
About the Role
You'll own marketing at ChainPatrol. Strategy, budget, team, and results.
That means deciding where we spend and why, building the programs that drive inbound and pipeline, and holding the number. You'll inherit a small team that will grow with your leadership as the function scales.
You'll set the strategy across social, content, and campaigns, and you'll own how we show up at conferences from the plan through the follow-up. You'll also lead the work that moves revenue directly: vertical launches, category positioning, demand-gen programs, and the assets sales and BD need to close.
We care a lot about taste. The best marketers we've worked with have a point of view on what positive looks like and can tell the difference between work that ships and work that lands. You should be able to point at things you've built and explain why they worked.
This is a Series-A startup, so you'll be close to the work,
not just directing it. The person who does well here probably came up executing. You were writing the copy, building the pages, and running the campaigns yourself not that long ago, and you can still do it when it needs doing.
Responsibilities
- Own marketing strategy, budget, and results across social, content, email, web, and campaigns
- Build demand generation end to end: paid, lifecycle, conversion, and the inbound pipeline number
- Set our social strategy and turn presence into inbound, not just followers
- Drive organic search and AI search visibility: what we publish, how we rank, and whether we get surfaced when buyers ask an AI tool about brand impersonation
- Run our conference strategy end to end: which events we attend, how we show up, and how we convert the follow-up
- Lead the work that supports sales and BD: vertical launches, positioning refreshes, and the assets that move deals forward
- Manage and develop the marketing team, direct freelancers and agencies, and hold the bar on what ships
- Report results to leadership, kill what isn't working, and reallocate fast
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of marketing experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS startup
- Experience owning a marketing function,
not just a channel or a program
- Current, hands-on fluency with the modern marketing stack. Not "I've managed people who use it." You've worked with tools like HubSpot, Lovable, Figma, and Ahrefs or Semrush yourself, or close equivalents
- Hands-on within the last two years. You've personally shipped marketing work recently, not just directed it
- Strong taste and judgment, with the projects to prove it. You can walk us through work you owned at a startup and explain the decisions behind it
- Craft-level ability in writing and a sharp eye for design. You won't be executing everything yourself, but you need to be good enough to direct people who are
- Full-stack generalist. You've owned content, campaigns, and demand gen, not just one lane
- A zero-to-one builder. You can walk into an empty program and ship it without supervision
- A track record of shipping work that drove pipeline, not just impressions
- Strong AI proficiency. You use LLMs and AI tools every day to move faster and produce more
- Experience managing junior marketers and freelancers, and getting good work out of both
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary $130,000 to $160,000 CAD, depending on experience
- Performance bonus tied to pipeline and revenue
- Meaningful equity in a venture-backed startup
- Health benefits and a learning budget
- We reward output, not activity. Strong performers earn well above market
Logistics
- Toronto office at Front and Spadina, 2 days in-office
- Some travel for conferences and industry events
