Job Summary

We are looking for a self-starting, efficient, and positive kitchen helper/dishwasher to join our kitchen helper team in a busy bakery.

If you are ready to bring dedication to your work, enjoy collaborative environments , and executing with speed and precision – join us as a Lead Kitchen Helper! You will master a variety of tasks and be an essential part of our day-to-day operations as you gain kitchen experience and new skills.

The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, able to prioritize tasks on their own, open to coaching/feedback, and is able to communicate in English clearly and kindly with others.

Responsibilities

- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Wash, store, fill, and butter delicate moulds with speed and care.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages.
- Work quickly,



efficiently, and safely during all tasks.
- Assist with various preparation tasks to support Prep Staff and Bakers.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy periods.
- Be enthusiastic about the team and bakery's success.

Skills

- Self-started and proactive with an excellent work ethic.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to baking and food service.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
- Open to obtaining a FoodSafe certificate.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and order.
- Great communication skills to collaborate with team members and understand instructions from staff and coworkers.
- Experience in a kitchen workplace is preferred.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
