Position: Forklift Operator

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team in our LTL division. This role reports to the Operations Manager. The incumbent takes charge of the entire shipping & receiving process to ensure all shipments and orders are complete and meets transport pick up times.

Responsibilities:

- Offload and load cargo by forklift, pallet jack or hand
- Verify count and condition of goods offloaded/loaded
- Accurately label freight for correct destination
- Assist in maintaining ‘freight zones’ on dock, such as: outbounds, OSD, local, etc.
- Consistently meet parameters set out for KPI bonus program
- Responsible for the accurate and efficient process of loading & unloading freight
- Updating shipping & receiving documents
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate policies, best practices, and safety rules
- Maintains process management, productivity measurements, and quality control
- able to handle up to 50-pound boxes
- Willing to work occasional extended hours as required
- Willing to work weekends

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

- Organized and able to prioritize/manage workload effectively
- Self-motivated and enjoys fast-paced work environment
- Attention to detail
- Valid Forklift License
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Good analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to meet urgent deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Experience in LTL and outbound loading an asset

Hours & Location:

- Monday - Friday 0300-1130 or 1130-2000 with over-time as needed
- West End, Edmonton, AB

Renumeration: $45-52,000 per year - Based on Experience
