Home Assist Services is a qualified home services company serving homeowners throughout the Ottawa area. Our permanent LED lighting division specializes in professionally installed, fully customizable permanent exterior lighting systems designed for year-round use.

We are growing our permanent lighting division and looking for motivated, outgoing people to join our door-to-door sales team.

We take sales training seriously. Over the years, we have trained more than 60 door-to-door sales representatives, and we have built clear scripts, systems, and processes designed to make the role straightforward to learn and succeed in.

Role Overview

As a Door-to-Door Sales Representative, your main responsibility is simple: introduce homeowners to our permanent LED lighting service and book free design consultations for interested homeowners.

You will work in neighborhoods where we are actively installing and promoting our lighting systems. You'll speak with homeowners, explain how the product works, answer basic questions about pricing and warranty, and offer them a free, no-obligation design consultation and quote.

You are not expected to close the entire lighting project at the door. Your job is to create interest, qualify the homeowner, and book an appointment for our sales team to provide a full design and quote.

You'll be provided with scripts, sales training, neighborhood strategies, and ongoing coaching.

You'll also be provided with a Segway for use during your shifts, allowing you to move quickly between homes instead of spending the entire day walking from door to door.

This is an hourly sales position with performance expectations. Representatives are responsible for actively knocking during scheduled hours, tracking their KPIs, and consistently meeting our sales activity and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Go door to door in assigned Ottawa neighborhoods promoting our permanent LED lighting services
- Introduce yourself professionally and have short, friendly conversations with homeowners




- Educate homeowners on permanent lighting, pricing, warranty, and common product questions
- Offer homeowners a free permanent lighting design consultation and quote
- Qualify interested homeowners and book appointments for our sales team
- Follow provided door-to-door scripts and sales processes
- Accurately record leads and appointments in our system
- Track daily KPIs, including doors knocked, conversations, leads, and appointments booked
- Follow up on leads when required
- Attend sales training, coaching, and team meetings
- Maintain consistent activity throughout scheduled shifts
- Represent the company professionally while working in neighborhoods

Performance Expectations This is a performance-based sales environment.

You are being paid hourly to actively prospect and create sales opportunities. Representatives are expected to maintain consistent door-knocking activity during scheduled hours and meet reasonable sales and appointment-setting standards.

We track KPIs including

- Doors knocked
- Homeowners spoken with
- Leads generated
- Design consultations booked
- Appointment conversion rate
- Jobs sold from generated appointments

Your performance bonuses will increase based on the results you generate.



Consistent effort, coachability, and meeting minimum performance standards are required to remain in the position.

No previous door-to-door sales experience is required. We provide the training, scripts, systems, and coaching you need to succeed.
