Drywall Finisher / Texture Specialist – Restoration Construction

Bender Construction | Full-Time Position

Bender Construction is looking for an experienced Drywall Finisher / Texture Specialist to join our restoration construction team.

The majority of our work is completed in occupied homeowners' homes following insurance losses, so we are looking for someone who takes pride not only in their finished product, but also in protecting and respecting the customer's home.

Responsibilities

- Drywall taping, mudding, sanding and finishing
- Drywall repairs and patches of various sizes
- Texture blending and matching existing textures
- Applying full texture ceilings
- Scraping and removing existing ceiling texture when required
- Preparing ceilings and surrounding areas for texture
- Painting/priming ceilings prior to texture when required
- Completing repairs so they blend cleanly into the existing finish
- Setting up proper site protection before starting work
- Protecting floors, walls, cabinets, furniture and homeowner belongings
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Daily cleanup and leaving customers' homes clean and presentable
- Working alongside Bender Project Managers and other trades on restoration projects

What We're Looking For
- Previous professional drywall finishing experience is required
- Strong texture experience is a must
- Must be confident completing both texture blends and full ceilings




- Experience matching different existing ceiling textures
- Comfortable scraping/removing old texture
- Painting experience is an asset
- Restoration/insurance repair experience is a robust asset
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage your work efficiently
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working directly in customers' homes

Site Protection Is a Must Because we work in homeowners' homes, site protection and cleanliness are extremely important to us. We expect our tradespeople to treat every home as if it were their own. Proper floor protection, dust control, masking, containment and cleanup are part of the job — not an afterthought.
