Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher/Assistant to join our team. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their development through play and structured activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
About Our school
Earth Child Montessori School was established in 2001. It is an early learning Montessori program designed for infant and children up to 12 years old. We are a government licensed Montessori daycare center and a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS). In the past 20 years, our school has been expanding continuously. We have over a 180 children ranging from ages 1-12 enrolled in our programs.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their child's development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and teamwork through group activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Participate in school activities and events like career development days, parent-teacher conferences,
winter concert and etc.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including those of children with disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills to guide children in their learning journey.
- Excellent time management skills to balance lesson planning, teaching, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills to maintain a structured classroom setting.
- Knowledge of educational principles that support the cognitive development of young children.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication within the school community.
- Proficient in computer operation for educational purposes and record keeping.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse families.
