Job Summary

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator with a lot of scheduling flexibility to join our team as a relief staff. As a Relief Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children while covering for the centers regular educators who have booked time off or are unable to come in to work. Your main responsibility will to be available to come in on short notice and provide care for children ages 12 months to six years of age across several daycare programs within Red Deer Child Care Society.

Duties and Requirements

- Available on short notice

- Excellent communication skills
- Implement planning that align with the curriculum and educational goals of our centre.
- Provide a protected and supportive environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities, and use of the Flight Curriculum.
- Promote language development, literacy skills, and numeracy skills.
- Develop positive relationships with parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child




- Be flexible with shift and breaks schedule, and maintain a clean,healthy, and organized classroom.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn and inpmlement Alberta Flight Curriculum.

Experience
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred - Level 1, 2, or 3 early childhood education required.
- Strong time management skills to effectively plan and organize daily activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills to keep track of your changing schedule
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
- Support and acceptance of children, families and colleagues of all race, religion and gender.
- Valid first aid, and Police record check

Pay: $18.81-$26.84 per hour
