Position: Early Childhood Educator Site Manager - Permanent Full-Time

Location: Current Assignment: Madison Children’s Centre

4397 Buchanan Street, Burnaby V5C 3X7

Salary: $33.50/hour (includes $6.00 Wage Enhancement)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications:

- Current ECE License to Practice, plus post-basic certification
- Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
- Required criminal record search
- Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children

Requirements:

- Current knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- General and financial management skills preferred
- Excellent leadership skills, ability to work in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and implement an open-ended, age appropriate curriculum
- Ability to evaluate curriculum and operational practices
- Ability to maintain a secure and healthy workplace
- Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset




- This position involves regular physical activity related to the care and supervision of young children, including lifting and assisting children, bending, kneeling, crouching, floor-level interaction, active indoor and outdoor supervision, and responding promptly to emergencies.
