Electrical Engineering Project Lead

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical professional with 3–8 years of Canadian building consulting experience who wants to take the next step in their career while working alongside experienced senior engineers and being supported by a collaborative, technically strong team.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-profile and diverse building projects, take ownership of projects from design through construction, interact directly with clients and consultants, and continue developing your technical and project leadership capabilities. As an Electrical Engineering Project Lead, you’ll play an important role in delivering projects from initial concept through construction.
Lead the electrical engineering and design components of building projects. Take ownership of project delivery, including design, coordination, documentation, and construction administration. Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Participate in project management,
contract administration, site visits, and field reviews. Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted technical resource throughout project delivery. Participate in business development initiatives alongside Associates and senior leadership.
Assist with fee proposals, project scopes, and client presentations. Assess existing electrical systems and prepare condition assessment reports. Provide technical advisory services and engineering recommendations to clients.
Design and coordinate electrical building systems including: Lighting Fire alarm Building electrical infrastructure Prepare electrical load calculations and engineering analysis. Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, tender packages, and technical reports. Review shop drawings and provide technical support throughout construction.
Participate in internal technical reviews and quality assurance processes. Continue developing your technical and project leadership capabilities with mentorship from experienced senior engineers. We’re looking for someone who has a strong foundation in building electrical systems and is ready to take on increasing responsibility. 3–8 years of professional experience in electrical engineering/design within the Canadian building consulting industry.
Experience with building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting,
fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. EIT or P.Electrical Designers with strong consulting experience will also be considered. Exposure to feasibility studies, budget estimates, shop drawing reviews, commissioning, and/or condition assessments.
Strong understanding of building construction and electrical systems. Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and Ontario Building Code (OBC). An interest in continuing to develop toward project leadership and senior-level responsibilities.
