R.A. Graham Electrical Contractors is seeking a motivated Electrical Labourer to support field work across commercial, institutional, and industrial environments. This role is well suited for individuals who are looking to build a long‑term career in the electrical industry.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of electrical systems, including advanced controls, lighting systems, motor controls, and various power distribution systems. Following a performance evaluation period, our intention is to register the individual as an Electrical Apprentice, supporting their development toward industry certification as a 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

- Assist electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and devices.
- Support work involving conduits, cable pulls, terminations, labeling, panel components, and fixtures.
- Participate in electrical work across commercial buildings, institutional facilities, and industrial sites, including exposure to controls and process equipment.
- Set up, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.




- Follow all safety procedures and ensure required safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS) are current.
- Assist with documentation, measurements, and basic layout tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with licensed electricians, supervisors, and project teams, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.

Experience / Skills

Required:

- Drivers License with clean record, and reliable transportation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical systems.
- Valid safety certifications or ability to obtain (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR).
- Ability to work in active construction, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Preferred:

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical / trades college certificate (e.g., Electrical Techniques, Pre‑Apprenticeship).
- Hands‑on experience in electrical, construction, or other trade related fields.
