Role Description The Electrical QA role at Fluor Canada is a contract, on-site position based in Logan Lake, BC. In this role, the individual will perform electrical quality assurance checks on materials, components, and systems, ensuring they meet defined technical specifications and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing test procedures, executing electrical tests, documenting results, and collaborating with engineers and analysts to resolve discrepancies.
The Electrical QA specialist will assist in root cause analysis for electrical failures, contribute to continuous improvement of testing protocols, and maintain accurate records for audits and client reporting. The role also involves working closely with laboratory staff to ensure equipment is used correctly,
safety protocols are followed, and data integrity is maintained.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and circuit behavior, with experience applying this knowledge in testing or QA environments.
- Hands-on experience with electrical measurement tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers) and related laboratory equipment.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles, test documentation, and reporting practices, including familiarity with relevant standards or regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics, and translate them into practical test procedures.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing electrical failures and contributing to root cause analysis.
- Comfort working in a laboratory or industrial environment, with a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing explicit reports.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Previous experience in electrical QA, testing, or reliability engineering is an asset, especially in materials or failure analysis contexts.
- Ability to work on-site in Logan Lake, BC, manage time effectively, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
