We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Technologist or Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contributor on electrical systems design and documentation while also supporting our mechanical HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and plumbing disciplines. This is a technically diverse role that rewards those who thrive in a collaborative, model-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Electrical (Primary Focus)

· Design and model electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and low-voltage in Revit

· Prepare construction drawings, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications

· Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and lighting design

· Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical and structural models using clash detection

· Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and site observations as required

· Mechanical, BAS & Plumbing (Supporting Role)

· Assist in the modeling and documentation of HVAC systems, ductwork, and mechanical equipment in Revit

· Support Building Automation Systems (BAS) integration and control schematic documentation

· Contribute to plumbing system layouts including sanitary, domestic water, and storm drainage





· Participate in multi-discipline coordination meetings and design reviews

· General

· Technology Integration: Stay updated with the latest architectural technologies and software, incorporating them into design processes to improve efficiency and sustainability.

· Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.

· Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and present design proposals that meet their expectations.

· Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using Revit.

Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in electrical building systems design (commercial, institutional, or industrial projects preferred)
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP — hands-on modeling experience is mandatory
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reference and coordination tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for specifications, calculations, and reporting
- Be able to read and interpret all project documentation provided by the Project Manager, taking all requirements and limitations into consideration
- Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code, OBC)




- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Revit and other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and building practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Solid project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- LEED Accreditation or other relevant sustainability certifications.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced architectural technologies.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Experience with Revit automation, Dynamo, or scripting using Python or other programming languages
- In addition to English, the ability to read and communicate in another language (spoken and/or written) is a significant asset (ie: Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.)

Location
- Hybrid - Remote and physical location in Markham, Ontario

Salary
- $60,000.00-$80,000.00
