Role Description: This is a full-time, all-around Electrician for farm equipment role based in Taber, AB, with travel involved. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on advanced agricultural machinery and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting control systems, wiring harnesses, and sensors, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

The role involves collaborating with service technicians and parts teams, interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals,



and documenting work performed in service records. The Electrician will also support customer equipment start-ups, ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable standards, and may assist with on-farm service calls as needed.

Qualifications

- Solid foundational knowledge of electricity and applied electrical principles, with the ability to safely work with agricultural machinery electrical systems.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including wiring, installation of components, and reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of equipment, with a focus on keeping machinery operational and minimizing downtime.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical faults, control system issues, and sensor or harness failures on complex equipment.
- Background in electrical engineering or equivalent technical training, apprenticeship, or certification related to industrial or automotive electrical systems.
- Relevant trade certification or journeyperson status as an Electrician (or progress toward certification) is an asset.
- Ability to work safely, follow company and regulatory safety procedures, and use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with service teams and interact professionally with customers.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
