Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging tutoring sessions focused on elementary-level language and math concepts
- Assess students’ current skill levels and tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Support students in developing reading, writing, comprehension, and mathematical problem-solving skills
- Foster a motivating and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student participation and confidence
- Keep lessons lively and effective
- Maintain a protected, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching elementary school students in language or math is an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain concepts to young learners
- Experience working with children in educational or classroom settings is highly desirable
- Passion for education, patience, and the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs and learning styles
