Job Title: Endoscopy Technologist

Position Details

Location: St Josephs Main and Childrens

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30a - 3:00p

Weekend Work: None

On Call: No

Requirements

Certification

- Required –
- BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education

- Required –
- High School or Equivalent

Experience

- Preferred – 1 year –
- Related field

Responsibilities

- Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks .




- Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers of patients within the endoscopy suite , holding, and recovery areas.
- Orients patients and significant others to the unit .
- Maintains environment by cleaning and storing equipment, disposing of linens, and stocking supplies
- Keeps patient areas clear of trash and clutter, cleans, disinfects and sterilizes endoscopy equipment and stretchers
- On-call/weekend shifts
- Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Must have computer, written and verbal communication skills appropriate to the position
- Show strong organizational, customer service, time management, administrative, and clerical skills
