Overview

Mots Machining is an industry leading powersports engine remanufacturer in western Canada and we are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust mechanical aptitude, be proficient in using both hand and power tools and be able to think outside the box at times. As a machinist, you will be responsible for the repairing of engine blocks and cylinder heads for various applications throughout the powersports industry.

Duties

- The ability to diagnose and identify repair solutions for cylinder heads and blocks
- The ability to read and use precision measuring devices
- Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools

- Perform regular maintenance on equipment
- Modify and create basic CNC programs
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines

Skills





- High attention to details and precision quality workmanship

- Desire to build up knowledge, and the willingness to be trained
- Previous knowledge with engine machining preferred
- Experience with Haas and manual milling machines and lathes

- Welding experience would be an asset but not required

Experience:
- Machine Shop: 3 years

Licence/Certification:
- 2nd - 4th year apprentice
