Position Summary:

The Sales Estimator will be responsible for handling inquiries regarding pricing quotations, powder availability, and verifying material quality. The incumbent will also coordinate with internal staff to facilitate customer requests.

Job Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the Sales Estimator include but are not limited to the following:

- Supervision of the production lines and all production employees, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity
- Handle pricing requests from the sales department, requests for quotes costing, ensuring sufficient information is obtained to process quotes.
- Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials for projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications within a stipulated timeline.
- Advise Production Planners & Sales team on powder options as required.
- Recognize key parameters such as equipment, material pricing guidelines, processing capabilities (i.e., loading methods & powder coat capacity) and production line speed of each order quotation.
- Liaise, consult and communicate with suppliers, contractors with availability and pricing.
- Interface with operations and purchasing to ensure accuracy of all quotes.
- Consultation internally with the VP of Sales regarding design feasibility costs, timelines, & quotes approval.




- Coordinate with the production team on specific customer requirements & process preparation.
- Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, or related field.
- Prior to estimating experience within the metal coating, metal product, and/or metal extruding industries.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume setting with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T; for sheet metal components.
- Proven experience with processes and procedures involved in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills: ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and External stakeholders.
- High computer proficiency.
