Evening Childminder – Tuesdays & Thursdays

Overview

EmpowerFit is looking for a warm, reliable and energetic Evening Childminder to join our team!

This position provides attentive care and supervision for children while their moms participate in classes, appointments and services at EmpowerFit. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and can help create a safe, welcoming and engaging workplace for children of varying ages.

Schedule:

Tuesdays & Thursdays

4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive and caring supervision of children during scheduled childminding hours
- Create a safe, positive and welcoming environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Comfort and support children as needed
- Communicate warmly and professionally with parents and EmpowerFit team members
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organized childminding space
- Follow all EmpowerFit childminding procedures and safety guidelines
- Provide appropriate support to children with varying needs and abilities
- Assist with opening,



closing and general tidying of the childminding area as required

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience working with children in childcare, educational, recreational or caregiving settings is preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid training is required
- Patient, caring and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable caring for children of varying ages
- Able to manage multiple children in a busy environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently while also being part of the EmpowerFit team
- Positive, proactive and welcoming personality

Pay: $16.44-$31.33 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 10.0 per week
