Experienced Brunch Server / Bar-Service Hybrid

Solena Brunch & Bar — Toronto, ON

Part-Time | Approximately 2–3 shifts per week | Primarily 4–5 hour shifts

Solena Brunch & Bar is an elevated all-day brunch restaurant on St. Clair West in Toronto. We are expanding our FOH team and are looking for experienced, energetic and highly capable servers who genuinely understand hospitality.

This is not an entry-level serving position.

We are looking for people who can confidently manage a busy section, work with urgency, support the entire restaurant and maintain a warm, polished attitude even during high-volume weekend service.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate:

- Has strong previous full-service restaurant experience
- Can independently manage a busy section and multiple tables
- Is comfortable with both food service and beverage/bar service
- Has strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and basic bar service
- Is confident carrying and running plates
- Runs their own food and drinks rather than waiting for someone else to do it
- Pre-busses, clears and maintains their own section throughout service
- Understands proper table maintenance and service sequencing
- Has excellent menu knowledge and pays close attention to modifications and allergies
- Can confidently recommend dishes, beverages and add-ons
- Communicates clearly with the kitchen, bar, expo, host and management
- Notices what needs to be done without constantly being asked
- Helps teammates when their own section is under control
- Works with urgency without appearing rushed or stressed in front of guests
- Is naturally enthusiastic, welcoming and consistently smiling
- Takes pride in creating a memorable guest experience
- Is punctual, dependable and professionally presented




- Accepts coaching and takes accountability when something goes wrong
- Is willing to complete opening, closing, cleaning and side-work responsibilities

Our Service Philosophy At Solena, serving is more than taking an order and collecting a tip.

Our servers are expected to own the complete guest experience from greeting through payment.

That means greeting guests warmly, knowing the menu, making recommendations, communicating allergies and modifications correctly, running food, picking up drinks from the bar, pre-bussing, resetting, maintaining the section and helping the team when necessary.

We value people who go the extra mile without being asked.

We operate as one FOH team. Sections and tips do not determine whether you help another guest or teammate. If something needs attention and you are available, you help.

Bar + Service Ability Is a Major Asset

We are particularly interested in candidates who can work as a server/bar-service hybrid.

You should be comfortable preparing or handling common brunch beverages and cocktails while still providing strong table service.

Candidates with bartending or bar-service experience will receive preference.

Schedule

We are primarily hiring for part-time rotational positions, approximately 2–3 shifts per week.

Typical shifts are approximately 4–5 hours,



with some shifts up to approximately 6 hours depending on position and business needs.

Weekend availability is important.

Our busiest periods are weekend brunch, so candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

- Previous full-service serving experience strongly preferred
- Brunch/breakfast experience is an asset
- Bar or bartending experience is a strong asset
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Robust spoken English and guest communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume service
- Weekend availability
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
