About the Position

PLM Space Inc. is looking for an experienced Cabinet Designer / Kitchen Designer to join our team.

We are looking for someone who can independently manage the complete cabinet design process — from meeting with customers and taking site measurements to creating designs, preparing quotations, presenting the design, and following up with customers to close the sale.

The ideal candidate should have strong cabinetry industry experience, excellent communication skills, and be highly proficient in 2020 Design or similar cabinet design software.

Key Responsibilities

- Meet with customers to understand their needs, preferences, style, and budget.
- Conduct accurate on-site measurements independently.
- Create professional kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and custom cabinetry designs.
- Use 2020 Design to create floor plans, elevations, renderings, and detailed cabinet layouts.
- Ensure designs are accurate, functional, practical, and suitable for installation.
- Prepare accurate quotations based on the completed design.
- Present design concepts and product options to customers.
- Recommend appropriate cabinet styles, materials, hardware, accessories, and other products.
- Make design revisions based on customer feedback.
- Communicate pricing and project details clearly with customers.
- Follow up with customers and assist in closing sales.
- Maintain robust relationships with customers throughout the project.
- Coordinate with suppliers, installers, contractors, and internal team members.
- Assist with resolving design, production, and installation issues when required.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of professional cabinet or kitchen design experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in 2020 Design is required.
- Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp,



or Cabinet Vision is an asset.
- Able to take accurate site measurements independently.
- Able to complete cabinet designs independently from concept to final drawings.
- Able to prepare accurate project quotations.
- Previous experience working directly with customers is required.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, doors, hardware, accessories, and installation requirements.
- Good understanding of kitchen layouts, appliance dimensions, countertops, and clearances.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and floor plans.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Mandarin/Cantonese is an asset.
