Job Summary

Buy Right Homes Ltd. is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and has experience with residential construction, renovations, and building repairs.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of carpentry and construction practices and be comfortable handling a variety of jobs from framing and window installation to finishing and general construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Frame walls, floors, ceilings, roofs and other structural components
- Read and understand construction drawings and plans
- Remove and install windows and exterior doors
- Install and repair exterior siding, including Hardie board
- Complete renovations, repairs and general carpentry work
- Perform demolition and removal of existing materials when required
- Measure, cut and install lumber and other building materials accurately
- Install and repair trim, doors, baseboards and other finishing materials
- Complete drywall repairs and basic finishing as required
- Assist with exterior building envelope and weatherproofing work
- Use hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely
- Identify and resolve construction issues on site
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Work effectively with project managers and other trades
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within scheduled timelines

Skills & Qualifications

- 3+ years of carpentry/construction experience preferred
- Strong framing experience




- Experience removing and installing windows and doors
- Ability to read plans and take accurate measurements
- Knowledge of residential construction and renovation practices
- Experience with siding and exterior finishing
- Proficient with common hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction materials and proper installation methods
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valuable communication and reliability
- Ability to safely lift materials and perform physical construction work
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
- Construction tickets/certifications are an asset
