Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Residential HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy comfortable, energy-efficient indoor environments.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical skills, technical knowledge, and construction experience while working on a variety of projects that make a real difference in people's homes.

This role is a 3 month contract position with a review and possibility of longer term opportunity for the right candidate and then benefits will be offered after 3 months

Duties

- Install new HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork, following detailed schematics and technical specifications
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC units to optimize performance and extend lifespan
- Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn recent technologies (i.e. digital time keeping, job tracking etc)
- Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
- Very punctual and dependable.
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints,



and technical manuals to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting
- Conduct appliance repair tasks related to HVAC equipment and assist with boiler system installations when needed
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot system issues efficiently and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with construction teams during project phases to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within residential structures
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system specifications for each project

Qualifications

- Proven experience in residential HVAC installation
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Own tools
- Proven experience as an HVAC installer with a strong background in residential systems
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC installation and maintenance
- Construction experience is highly desirable to understand building codes and safety standards
- Mechanic experience or background working with various mechanical systems enhances your ability to diagnose issues quickly
- Knowledge of HVAC systems combined with general maintenance skills ensures comprehensive service delivery
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards

- WHMIS certification
- Standard/Enhanced First Aid certification
- Additional safety tickets relevant to the trade (e.g., Fall Protection, Confined Space)
