- Act as the company’s designated CWB Welding Supervisor and oversee compliance with applicable welding procedures, welder qualifications, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Lead the shop-floor implementation and sustainment of Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives established by the Production Manager, including standard work, visual management, workflow improvement, root-cause problem-solving, and waste elimination.
- Reinforce safety as a foundation of daily 5S practices by maintaining safe and organized work areas, enforcing company safety policies and procedures, and promptly correcting unsafe conditions and work practices.

- Coordinate labour, equipment, material staging, and workflow according to production priorities and established standard work.
- Conduct and oversee in-process quality gate checks and final quality verification to ensure fabrication work meets approved drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and company standards, and that all deficiencies are corrected before handoff to the next production stage or final delivery.
- Review production drawings and fabrication requirements with the Production and Design Teams, identify discrepancies or missing information, and ensure all issues are resolved before fabrication begins.
- Forecast fabrication material and tooling requirements, identify shortages early, and coordinate with Procurement to ensure steel, consumables, tooling, and other materials are available when needed.
- Track and report fabrication productivity, labour utilization, rework, and downtime, and apply Lean problem-solving methods to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and improve production flow.
- Collaborate with Production, Project Coordination, Design, Procurement, and Management to resolve issues and maintain project flow.
