Maintenance & Facilities Manager Director, Manufacturing Maintenance Toronto, ON, On-site role. Full-time. Manage the maintenance department to ensure the continuous and safe operation of equipment and facilities operations at all Club Coffee facilities.
Lead by example in challenging status quo and optimizing mechanical and electrical team to deliver best possible asset and labour utilization. Develop and manage maintenance budget. Partner with Engineering on capital projects.
Maintains critical relationships with Production, EH&S;, QFS, Engineering, Planning Purchase and source materials, parts, equipment and services in a cost effective and timely manner. Responsible for equipment installation and maintenance Responsible for facility repairs and upgrades Identify, prioritize and lead cost reduction projects or improvement projects Support MES and SCADA systems. Utilizes SAP for maintenance work orders, PO approvals Labour scheduling (including sanitation and facility housekeeping), define job requirements to execute corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance.
Manage and monitor absenteeism and overtime for maintenance staff including training and ensure that skills are maintained both technically and for safety. Assess and evaluate the operational and pre-requisite programs that support the foundation of the HACCP system. Oversee all Club Coffee facilities and their maintenance programs.
Travel between sites is required. US travel is required – up to 10%. Support equity, diversity,
and inclusivity programs. Understand, apply and actively participate in maintaining product quality and food safety program practices including BRC, HACCP, QA / QC, GMP, Sanitation and good hygiene practices.
Qualified
Engineering degree or post graduate degree in applicable technical or business subjects, or equivalent work experience Minimum 8 years in a food manufacturing production floor environment. Knowledge of health and safety practices and food safety procedures. Prior experience in high-speed CPG or Food Manufacturing an asset.
Ability to observe processes, people and equipment activity to anticipate, identify, correct or prevent quality problems or production interruptions. Ability to assess and promptly rectify difficult situations and/or issues while adhering to company policies and procedures. Ability to work cooperatively with various departments and build strong partnerships across the organization as well as lead and manage direct reports.
