We are seeking two family physicians to join our addition-focused clinic located within one of Canada’s leading addiction treatment facilities.

This role offers a unique blend of primary care and detox management for inpatients. You’ll benefit from training provided by UBC clinical instructors, promoting board certification in addiction medicine while working in a collegial atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide primary care to patients and residents
- Manage admissions and detox processes for inpatients
- Collaborate with onsite psychiatry services
- Offer virtual care to alumni of the center
- Participate in flexible schedule and on-call as needed

Requirements:

- Family medicine background with a focus on addictions
- No prior addiction medicine experience necessary
- ER or inpatient detox experience is beneficial
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a new environment
- Hospital privileges in the Cowichan District are an asset
