Summary

Sheehy Enterprises is an agricultural dealership that provides services to the Atlantic provinces of Canada. We are currently looking for an equipment technician who is hard-working, dedicated, and enjoys technical work in an agricultural setting. This position’s primary role will be the installation and maintenance of manure equipment, stabling, cow comfort products, ventilation, custom fabrication and more. Below is a list of what we are looking for:

Primary Responsibilities

- Install, maintain and repair dairy farm equipment (manure equipment, feed, ventilation, stabling, etc.)
- Troubleshoot installation/mechanical issues/failures
- Weld equipment and components for proper installation and custom fabrication
- Follow diagrams/drawings and install all components accordingly
- Co-operate with other construction contractors to ensure all aspects of the job are covered
- Operate forklift/telehandler and aerial lift equipment on occasion
- Maintain a skilled and collaborative relationship and image with our customers
- Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards
- Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury
- Work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Plumbing and electrical experience are a definite asset
- Experience in some or all the following is an asset: electrical, electronics, compressed air, hydraulics




- Installation Technician experience and/or background in the dairy industry would be an asset
- Highly organized to plan your day and prioritize your workload meeting strict deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work
- Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with customers regarding the work being done
- Ability to perform physical tasks that may require climbing, lifting, pushing, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude to be able to troubleshoot the mechanical equipment
- Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Compensation commensurate with experience.

Additional Details: No tools are required, they are all supplied. The position(s) are full-time, 40+ hours per week. You will need to be able to provide your own transportation to our shop, however, any travelling for work is done via a work truck. Benefits kick in following a work probation period. Pay starts out at $24 and goes up from there depending on experience.
