Role Description This full-time Field Surveyor role is an on-site position located in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, AB.
The Field
Surveyor will conduct field measurements and data collection for legal land, commercial, and residential construction projects, using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining survey control, staking and marking boundaries and construction features, and recording accurate field notes.

Surveyor will work with project managers and office staff to verify data, assist in resolving site issues, and ensure that work meets industry standards and client requirements.
The role also involves driving to job sites, following safety protocols, and maintaining equipment in good working order.
Qualifications
- Experience with land and construction surveying methods, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction layout.
- Proficiency using surveying instruments (total stations, GPS/GNSS, levels) and basic data collection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret survey plans, engineering drawings, and legal descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements, field notes, and documentation.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with field crews, office staff, and site personnel.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
- Relevant surveying education or certification (e.g., diploma in geomatics, surveying technology, or related field) is an asset.
- Familiarity with surveying software or data-processing tools is beneficial.
- Knowledge of applicable local regulations, safety practices, and industry standards is an advantage.
