Altis Recruitment is partnering with a mission-driven non-profit organization in their search for a Manager of Finance & Administration. This role is key in the smooth execution and maintenance of the organization’s financial and administrative operations during an exciting period of growth and modernization. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, you’ll be a trusted operational partner, overseeing day-to-day accounting, payroll, reporting, systems administration and internal controls.

You’ll work closely with leaders across the organization and supervise a small administrative finance team, helping turn financial information into reliable processes and informed decisions. What’s in it for You

You’ll join a collaborative, people-first environment where your work directly supports an important community mission. This is an opportunity to strengthen your leadership skills, gain exposure to organizational modernization and technology projects, and work closely with an experienced Director while helping improve the systems and processes that support the organization’s future.

Your Responsibilities You’ll lead month-end accounting activities, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, financial statements, variance reporting and supporting schedules. You’ll support annual budgeting, forecasting, program reporting and financial analysis, providing managers with clear information to support decision-making.

You’ll maintain audit-ready records, prepare working papers and support regulatory, charitable and funder reporting requirements. You’ll administer and improve Dayforce processes while supporting broader technology modernization initiatives alongside external IT partners. You’ll supervise and coach administrative finance staff, reviewing work, coordinating workflows and supporting cross-training and business continuity.

You’ll strengthen day-to-day internal controls and help identify opportunities to improve financial and administrative processes.

Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance or financial administration experience, ideally within a non-profit or similarly complex environment. Strong hands-on knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting and budgeting. Demonstrated payroll administration experience, with Dayforce experience considered a strong asset.

Experience supporting audits, restricted funding, grants or funder reporting. Strong systems aptitude and an interest in improving technology-enabled processes. Previous experience supervising, coaching or coordinating the work of finance or administrative staff. Collaborative communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion. Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone who enjoys being close to the work, supporting their team and finding better ways to get things done. This person will be a trusted partner to our Director and play an important role in strengthening the systems that support our mission.”
