Role Description The Finance and Accounting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Caledon, ON. This position is responsible for daily accounting operations, including processing invoices, recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank and account reconciliations.

The specialist prepares financial reports, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, and assists with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. The role includes maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting internal controls and audits.



Collaboration with operations and leadership teams is essential to provide financial insights that support decision-making in a fast-paced 3PL and warehousing workplace.

Qualifications

- Strong general accounting skills, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Understanding of Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and present clear, actionable insights.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, leadership, and external partners.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional designation (e.g., CPA in progress or completed) is an asset.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related industry is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
