The Senior FinancialAnalyst - Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providingfinancial analyses and business case development of complex operating andcapital projects and programs and supporting revenue structures. The seniorfinancial analyst provides variance analysis to operating departments andprograms, assists in the annual development of VFPA’s 5-year financial plan,operating budget and capital plans, and the corporate balanced scorecards. Thisposition also provides assessment on corporate capital affordability.

Develop new and update existing financial modelsand perform NPV/IRR financial analyses of complex projects, programsand/or fees.

Analyse key performance indicators and providefinancial guidance and inputs to departments as required to driveimprovements in business performance.

Provide information and analysis to support businesscase development for the organization’s projects and programs, includingconsideration of alternative approaches, analysis of key risks, and developmentof mitigations.





Provide financial analysis to support businessnegotiations including real estate leases, land acquisitions and othercommercial arrangements, including collaboration with external consultants witha focus on ensuring accuracy and reliability of external data model.

Develop and update corporate financial model, analysecorporate capital affordability and provide input to the 5-year businessplan.

Present financial analysis and business case resultsto Executive Leadership Team, and support presentation materials for AuditCommittee and Board of Directors meetings.

Lead, coordinate, propose and implement improvementsto work processes for financial planning and analysis to enable accuracy,efficiency, and effectiveness.

Must have a Bachelorof Commerce or Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance,or another acceptable field.

Must also have aminimum of four years’ experience in management reporting, budgeting andfinancial analysis, including experience with developing business cases andcapital plans.

Advanced Excel skillsrequired with demonstrated ability to build and maintain financial models.

A CharteredProfessional Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst or other similardesignations are considered assets.

Salary: The starting rate for this position is $60.13 per hour,



with scheduled wage progression in accordance with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Local 517 collective agreement. BargainingUnit, Full time, Permanent, Hybrid
