Financial Administrator, Working for Change

Term: Full Time, One Year Temporary Unionized Contract (This is a temporary unionized contract position intended to provide coverage during an employee's Leave of Absence.)

Compensation: $59,075.84 annually + benefits (after three months)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hybrid option available.

Work Location: 1499 Queen Street West, Toronto, M6R 1A3

Reports To: This role reports directly to the Director of Finance & Personnel.

Position Summary: The Financial Administrator supports the day-to-day financial operations of Working for Change, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and timekeeping, invoice processing, financial record management, budget tracking, and reporting support.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial and Accounting Duties:-

· Maintain the agency’s computerized accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash deposits, reimbursements, and donations.

· Monitor and reconcile financial transactions, identify discrepancies,



and ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and government remittances.

· Support cash flow management, budgeting, expense tracking, and financial projections.

· Assist the Director of Finance & Personnel with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, audits, and government filings.

· Coordinate insurance coverage and related documentation for the agency, its properties, businesses, and board liabilities.

· Provide guidance and training to business managers on financial reporting and payroll procedures.

· Stay current with applicable financial regulations, legislation, and accounting standards, and ensure compliance with agency policies.

· Participate in Finance Committee meetings and provide additional financial support to the Director as required.

Financial Process Administration:-

· Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems of invoices, payments, and other financial records.

· Coordinate communications with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

· Handle confidential financial and employee information professionally.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.





· 3-5 Years of experience in a similar position.

· Experience using Accounting Software is required. Experience with CURRENT VIEWS will be considered an asset.

· Ability to prepare financial reports and analyze data.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Experience with payroll processing.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technical application.

· Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently gather information.
