Role Description The Financial Analyst – Shipping is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC. This role is responsible for analyzing shipping costs, carrier performance, and fulfillment margin to support data-driven pricing and operational decisions.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing financial reports, building and maintaining shipping and logistics dashboards, and forecasting expenses and revenue related to transportation and warehousing. The analyst will collaborate with operations, logistics, and sales teams to develop cost-optimization strategies, evaluate recent carrier agreements,



and assess financial impacts of process changes. Additional responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, identifying trends and risks, and presenting clear recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong financial analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to shipping and logistics.
- Proficiency with data tools and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and experience building reports, models, and dashboards.
- Knowledge of eCommerce fulfillment, shipping carriers, and logistics cost structures, or strong interest in learning this domain.
- Ability to interpret complex data, synthesize insights, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with ERP or financial systems and basic understanding of GAAP are beneficial.
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or eCommerce environments is an asset.
