First Edition First Aid (FEFA) is a family-owned company with over 18 years of experience as a National AED Distributor that carries a trusted name with Philips, STRYKER, ZOLL Defibtech, Cardiac Science among others in Canada and deep roots within the defibrillator, first aid, nursing, and firefighting industry.

We offer on site workplace first aid and CPR training, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), First Aid supplies, and more! We’re here to enhance workplace (and home) safety and encourage a proactive approach to cardiac arrest and medical emergencies.

OPPORTUNITY

First Edition is seeking an outgoing First Aid Program coordinator and administration team member with a positive attitude who can easily adapt to changes and is motivated to work in an creative small business environment. In this role you will be responsible for the coordination of our off site first aid classes as well as the daily phone, administration and customer service initiatives as required.

This position requires you to build rapport with our first aid instructors and clients in order to ensure seamless program administration and execution. You will use your organizational skills to maintain an efficient workflow, and professional communication to interact with instructors, clients, partners, service providers, and participants alike, including any troubleshooting related to class programming & AEDs. We are a Medical Device Established License which will introduce you to Standard Operating Procedures that require a consistent work ethic.

Further to this, a very important part of the position will be to contact prospective first aid clients, we have an excellent road map that makes this approach more informative than a cold call.





We are a small business and warehouse and equally share the responsibility of maintaining a high level of customer service and due diligence when responding to requests and customer inquiries via phone and email. Your commitment to detail will be critical in supporting our customers and the data entry requirements of First Edition.

You will be supported with continuous product knowledge training and encouraged to familiarize yourself with the sales environment regarding Medical Devices, First Aid supplies and First Aid. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

General Administration

-Receive email and phone orders, and provide additional customer service as required.

-Conduct product complaint reviews, troubleshooting and service calls, following SOP.

-Continuously communicate with partners and customers via email and phone to assist in queries, order requests & troubleshooting.

-Data entry as required for Health Canada compliance and client record maintenance.

-Consolidating digital/physical files and organizing folders online.-Diligently answer phone calls and emails as support staff.

-Participate with the First Edition team in the organization and housekeeping of the work space.

-Completing advanced administration duties such as invoicing as you increase your knowledge.

First Aid Program Management

-Processing First Aid course bookings in our database and calendars on a recurring basis.

-Audit first aid equipment inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy, and alert if repairs/replacements are required.

-Auditing our current list of instructors, and providing ongoing support.





-Updating templates for communications, course descriptions, and fee guides.

-Maintain and implement up to date program information from the Red Cross and Alberta OHS bulletins.

-Managing the First Edition AED and training equipment rental program

-Take ownership of First Aid training equipment and follow sanitation SOP to clean equipment.

Business Development

-Contacting existing clients to ensure that their staff's first aid certifications are current and to see if they require any additional training for new staff.

-Contacting prospective clients regarding their First Aid requirements.

-Collaborating with organizations such as school boards and membership associations for ongoing training programs.

-Be creative in the development and enhancement of a First Aid program!

QUALIFICATIONS

-Outstanding English communication and interpersonal skills.

-Educational/sports programing or project management experience +3 Years

-Administration and Customer Service experience +2 Years

-Proficient with computers and related software programs (QuickBooks, MS Suite, Google-suite, Canva, Asana). First Edition will train on software.

-Detail oriented and able to follow Standard Operating Procedures

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION CONSIDERED AS ASSETS

-First Aid instructor certificate (Red Cross).

-Bilingual (French)

Hours 830AM-430PM Monday to Friday.

Starting at: $21 - $23
