Flight Control Systems – IPT Head

Job Overview

We are seeking a senior Flight Control Systems (FCS) IPT Head to lead the design, development, integration, and certification of aircraft flight control systems. The ideal candidate will have 12–18+ years of aerospace experience, solid expertise in flight controls, control laws, flight dynamics, fly-by-wire systems, and proven IPT/cross-functional engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Flight Control Systems IPT and own technical delivery, scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Lead FCS architecture, control law development, flight dynamics, stability & control, and redundancy management.
- Drive integration with avionics, software, sensors, actuation, systems, and V&V; teams.
- Lead MATLAB/Simulink, MIL/SIL/HIL, Iron Bird, ground, and flight-test activities.
- Ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Lead aircraft certification,



system safety, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Manage technical risks, interfaces, suppliers, stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's in Aerospace, Controls, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 12–18+ years of aerospace experience.
- Strong Flight Control Systems / Flight Controls development experience.
- Proven IPT or cross-functional engineering leadership.
- Experience with aircraft NPD/new aircraft development.
- Strong flight dynamics, control theory, and control law development expertise.
- Experience with fly-by-wire architecture and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Hands-on experience with ARP4754A / ARP4761 and aircraft certification.
