We are looking for a reliable, creative, and customer-focused Floral Assistant to join our team. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the flower shop, including processing fresh flowers, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting customers, taking orders, preparing arrangements, and supporting our floral designers.

Responsibilities

- Process, hydrate, and properly care for incoming fresh flowers and greenery
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas, coolers, and supplies
- Assist customers in person and over the phone
- Take and process floral orders accurately
- Prepare everyday bouquets, vase arrangements, and other floral designs
- Assist senior designers with larger arrangements, weddings, funerals, and events
- Wrap and package completed arrangements for pickup and delivery
- Restock supplies and maintain shop inventory
- Clean buckets, tools, workstations, and other shop areas
- Assist with deliveries and receiving orders when needed
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Learn and follow the shop’s design standards, recipes, pricing, and procedures




- Take on additional design responsibilities as skills and experience develop

Qualifications:
- Previous floral experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
- Creative eye and interest in floral design
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting buckets and boxes
- Willingness to learn and take direction

Growth Opportunities:This position is intended to provide opportunities to develop stronger floral design, customer service, and shop-management skills. As the employee becomes more confident and proficient, responsibilities and compensation can increase accordingly. Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
