We are seeking two hands-on, dependable, and enthusiastic Food Services Supervisors who can help lead day-to-day food service operations while supporting nutrition programs that make a difference for the children, youth, families, older adults, and the communities we serve.
Working alongside the Chef/Nutrition Programs Manager, the Food Services Supervisor supports the coordination, supervision, and delivery of BGC London’s nutrition programs. This is a hands-on role that combines food preparation and kitchen operations with staff and volunteer supervision, customer service, administration, and program support.
What You’ll Do In this role, you will:
- Support the day-to-day operation of kitchen and food service areas.
- Prepare food and follow established recipes, food preparation procedures, and quality standards.
- Help coordinate and deliver nutrition programs, food services, and related activities.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local public health and food safety requirements.
- Support the training, supervision, and day-to-day direction of staff and volunteers.
- Deliver friendly, professional, and responsive customer service.
- Assist with administrative tasks, program records, and other operational requirements.
- Support the marketing and promotion of events, food products, and nutrition programming.
- Assist with online sales and coordination of BGC London’s frozen food product line.
- Keep the Chef/Nutrition Programs Manager informed of operational issues, concerns, and matters requiring attention.
- Help create a positive, collaborative, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, program participants, and customers.
What You Bring The successful candidate will have:
- More than two years of cooking or food preparation experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in a food service, hospitality, kitchen, or related environment.
- A demonstrated record of reliability, dependability, and consistent attendance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively supervise, support, and motivate staff and volunteers.
- A professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to follow established recipes, processes, and food safety procedures.
- Comfort using Microsoft 365 and digital tools.
- Experience using social media platforms to support program, product, or event promotion is considered an asset.
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods as required by the position.
- Current Safe Food Handler Certification
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Valid full G Driver’s License
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on operational and program needs.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM with occasional evenings and weekends
- Tentative Start Date: Mid-September 2026

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
