Job Overview

Newton Holding LTD(NHL) is a trucking and transportation company looking for a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator / Yard Worker to join our team.

This position involves working mainly in our truck yard and warehouse area. The employee will help keep the yard organized, move materials and equipment, assist drivers, and support daily trucking operations.

The job will also include loading and unloading trucks and trailers when required. We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors and around trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
- Keep the truck yard clean, safe, and organized.
- Help organize trucks, trailers, equipment, and materials in the yard.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers when required.
- Move, stage, and organize freight and materials using a forklift.
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading when needed.
- Check freight for visible damage before and after handling.
- Make sure freight and materials are placed safely and securely.
- Help prepare freight and equipment for upcoming loads.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and checking quantities.
- Keep loading, unloading, and parking areas clear and organized.
- Report damaged freight, equipment, or safety concerns to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures while working around trucks and equipment.
- Perform general yard and warehouse duties as required.
- Work with drivers, dispatch,



mechanics, and operations staff to support daily activities.

Qualifications

- Previous forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Experience working in a trucking yard, transportation company, warehouse, or similar environment is an asset.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers is preferred.
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Able to work safely around trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Physically able to lift and move materials when required.
- Valuable attention to detail and safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.

Schedule Full-Time Position

Monday to Friday

Day and afternoon shifts may be available.

Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required depending on trucking and operational needs.
