Forklift Operator

Mississauga, ON

Sunday to Saturday shift, 6am- 230pm (a schedule will be provided 5 weeks at a time)

5.5-month contract with the potential to be extended

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate an order picker to retrieve products from various rack heights. Training will be provided; previous equipment experience is an asset.
- Accurately pick, scan, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup.
- Transport products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Verify product quantities, descriptions, and item accuracy against customer orders.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including requirements for working at elevated heights.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Ability and willingness to safely operate an order picker; training will be provided.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.




- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good time-management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products as required.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Mandatory Safety Requirements

- Complete required Health & Safety training conducted by the Safety Team on your first day.
- CSA-approved safety footwear must be worn at all times while working in the warehouse.
- A safety vest must be worn at all times while working in the warehouse.
