Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Storeman/woman to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks, and ensuring the safe handling and storage of goods. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including sorting, stacking, and organizing inventory
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform accurate order picking based on customer or internal requests, ensuring correct quantities and product specifications
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely to prevent injury or damage to goods
- Maintain a clean,



organized work workplace by adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards

Skills

- Proven experience in warehouse distribution operations with familiarity in using forklifts and clamp trucks
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance checks
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems for inventory control and order processing
- Ability to perform order picking accurately under time constraints while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of basic math for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse handling
